Intersec Saudi Arabia 2019 will kick off proceedings on 14 April, with 111 exhibitors from 20 countries showcasing their products and services at the Jeddah mega-event.

In its third year, the three-day event at the Jeddah Centre for Forum and Events will run on 14-16 April 2019.

The security, safety, and fire protection trade show aims to target the kingdom's vast market, which is estimated to grow at an annual compound growth rate of 7.7% over the next seven years.

The event is licensed by Messe Frankfurt Middle East, the organizer of Intersec in Dubai, the world's largest trade fair for security, safety, and fire protection.

According to a report by consultancy firm 6WResearch, the total spends on Saudi's commercial security, information security, homeland security and policing, physical and perimeter protection, and fire safety markets were worth $8.5bn in 2018, a 5% increase over the previous year.

Companies set to appear at the show include Hikvision, described as the world's largest video surveillance provider by the event organized. The firm will be showcasing its latest suite of technologies, much of which is powered by artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Other exhibitors include Optex Europe Limited and Fiber Sensys, both of which recently joined forces to better serve Saudi Arabia and the regional market in deploying perimeter protection and intrusion detection systems.
