More than 120 exhibitors from 20 countries look to make inroads in US$9.6 billion market
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: The global spotlight will shine on Saudi’s security, safety, and fire protection industries next month in Riyadh, as international solutions providers look to make inroads in a market that is estimated to grow seven percent year-on-year in 2020.
According to analysts 6Wresearch, the combined value of the Kingdom’s homeland, commercial, and information security, along with fire safety markets was US$9 billion in 2019, while ongoing economic diversification policies will drive industry growth over the next few years.
The Middle East’s largest market is tipped to be worth US$9.6 billion in 2020 says 6Wresearch, with homeland security and policing holding the lion’s share of spend, at US$5.4 billion. This is followed by information security (US$2.8 billion), commercial security (US$892 million), fire safety (US$309 million), and physical and perimeter protection (US$227 million).
Saudi comprises nearly half of the regional market, making it a prime target for solutions providers, 120 of which are into their final preparations ahead of the 4th edition of Intersec Saudi Arabia, which takes place from 23 – 25 March at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center.
That represents a 20 percent increase over the previous year at Saudi’s dedicated trade fair for security, safety, and fire protection, underlining the increasing opportunities in a market that is fully open to new technologies, trends, and innovations.
More than 500 brands are set to be on display at the new venue in the Kingdom’s capital and commercial hub, while a three-day forum and workshop program will provide the latest insights in enabling capability, resilience for the entire security and fire safety ecosystem.
The forums will bring together professionals across industries with equipment manufacturers, integrators, consultants, services providers, regulatory agencies, and government authorities for discussions that will provide the latest approaches in achieving an integrated vision for safety, security and fire protection, prevention, and mitigation.
Intersec Saudi Arabia 2020, which is organized by the Saudi-based ACE Group under license by Messe Frankfurt Middle East, will feature exhibitors from 20 countries, with Launch Partners Axis Communications, Al Alameda, Bristol, Genetec, Hikvsion, Milestone, NAFFCO, and Nedap, headlining the returning companies on show. Debut exhibitors include Saudi Sicli, LIFECO, Portwest, LundHalsey, OREP, and many more.
The annual three-day event is supported by the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO), with key sponsors including Teknoware, Netix, Toshiba, and Western Digital. It covers the six key product sections of commercial security, information security, perimeter & physical security, homeland security & policing, fire & rescue, and safety & health.
