Lithium Fluoride (LiF) is an ionic compound containing lithium cations of 1 charge and fluoride anions of -1 charge per formula unit. Its chemical structure consists of one lithium atom surrounded by four fluorine atoms at equal angles forming a tetrahedral geometry similar to other halides or carboxylates compounds of lithium like LiCl or LiCO3.
